Set up your baby shower registry in 7 steps
From sign-in to thank-you cards — everything you need to coordinate baby gifts with your circle.
Step 1: Sign in
Click Sign In and choose to sign in with your Google, Microsoft, Facebook, or Yahoo! account. WishyBox only uses your name and email address from your existing account, so there's no new password to remember.
Step 2: Create a Baby Shower list
Open My Lists, click New List, choose Baby Shower as the list type, and give it a name like “Amelia's Baby Shower.” Pick the date of your shower so the list shows when the big day is coming up. Each list has its own dedicated wish list page, so your baby gifts stay separate from any other lists you've made.
Step 3: Add baby gift items
Click Add Item to fill in a description, link, price, and any helpful notes (sizes, colors, brand preferences). Links can point to any store on the web — diapers, strollers, big-ticket nursery items — you're never locked into a single retailer. Drag and drop to put your most-wanted items at the top.
Step 4: Make it public and get a shareable link
Open the list's Settings and switch its visibility to Public. WishyBox generates a shareable URL just for this list — short, friendly, and unique to your baby shower. Turn on Allow anonymous reservations so guests don't need to create an account to claim a gift.
Step 5: Share with friends and family
Copy the shareable link and send it out however you like — text, email, your shower invitation, or a Facebook event. Anyone with the link can view your list, and you can opt in to having it indexed by search engines if you want even more reach. The link stays the same forever, so update it once and you're done.
Step 6: Guests reserve gifts (no account needed)
Guests open the link, pick a gift they'd like to bring, and reserve it with just their name and email — no sign-up. WishyBox sends a confirmation email and asks them to confirm within 24 hours, so reservations don't sit in limbo. Each guest gets a private link to manage or release their reservation later if plans change.
Step 7: Track reservations and reveal reservers after the shower
As guests reserve gifts, WishyBox tracks which items are claimed without spoiling who picked what. After the shower, flip the Reveal Reservers toggle to see exactly who reserved each gift — perfect for thank-you cards. Reservations stay hidden by default on baby shower lists until you choose to reveal them.
