The Best Online Wish List for Families
WishyBox is a simple online wish list that you and your family can use all year long for special occasions such as birthdays, Christmas, wedding gift registries, bridal showers, baby showers, or other special events. Or, you can just use it as a wish list to keep track of whatever you want.
Simply sign in to WishyBox, add items to your wish list, then invite friends and family members to be friends on WishyBox, so that they can see your wish list and reserve items for you. Think of it as your own personal gift registry that you keep updated throughout the year! And, gift purchases of items on your list remain hidden from you so that you don’t spoil the surprise.
Sign In
You sign in to WishyBox by clicking Sign In, and then choosing to sign in with your Google account, Facebook account, or Microsoft account.
Add an Item to Your Wish List
To add an item to your wish list, click the “Add Item” button and add a description, link, price, and any notes:
Invite Friends and Family
WishyBox works best when you use it with friends and family. Click the “Friends” button, then enter the email address of your friend or family member to send them an invite.
Accept Invites
When someone sends you an invite on WishyBox, you need to accept the invitation. Click the “Friends” button, then click the “Invites” tab. Click to accept or decline invites from friends or family members.
Reserve Gifts
Select the wish list of the user for which you want to purchase gifts. Click “Reserve Gift” on a gift item that is not already reserved by another user:
Note that reserving a gift on WishyBox does not automatically purchase the item, but rather lets others know that you have committed to purchasing it. Click the link to the item (if applicable) to purchase the item, and add any relevant notes for others to see:
Comments are not visible to the person requesting the gift, but are there to help friends and family members coordinate gift giving.
Change Settings
Click on “Settings” to change the currency (default is $), and whether or not you want your list to be public:
By default, your wish list is only visible to your friends on WishyBox. If you’d like to make it viewable by anyone, click Yes on the “Public List” setting and note the URL.
Visit Gravatar to change your user profile picture. You’ll need to configure your Gravatar profile picture to match the email address you used when you logged in to WishyBox.
